My log disappeared

Your log is kept only on your phone. If the app was deleted, the log went with it. There is no copy on a server.

Why didn't my session count?

A session counts when it says what happened: the rounds, the rolls, the lift or the distance. Tapping "trained" on its own is saved as a note and doesn't move your character.

Can the app give me my next belt?

No. Belts and grades come from your coach. You record them in the app and it keeps them. It never awards or suggests one.
